Uddhav Thackeray group torch?
The Uddhav Thackeray group had given three options for the symbol. They included symbols of the trident, the rising sun, and the torch. As the trident is a religious symbol, it cannot be given to anyone. Also, the Election Commission clarified that since the rising sun is the symbol of a party in Tamil Nadu, this symbol cannot be given. Therefore, the torch symbol has been given as the third option. Earlier, the symbol of Mashal was given to a political party. But that party could not maintain the expected votes. Therefore, the reservation on this symbol was withdrawn. So now this symbol has been given to Uddhav Thackeray group.
So, Uddhav Thackeray will have to fight elections with the torch symbol in the coming years. Also, they have the challenge of conveying the Mashal symbol to maximum number of people in minimum time.
