California: Merced family kidnapped, Indian-origin Sikh family abducted with baby found dead in Merced

Merced family kidnapped: All four members of a Sikh family in California including a baby who were kidnapped earlier this week were found dead at an orchard on October 5th.

eight-month-old aruhi Devi her 27 year old mother Joseline Carr her father jasdeep Singh and her uncle amandeep Singh were kidnapped in Merced County on October 3rd.

hours before the bodies were found the Merced County Sheriff’s Office released chilling surveillance bushels of the moment the family was kidnapped at gunpoint.

sheriff varn warnke had said that after the kidnappings an ATM card belonging to one of the victims was used in Add Water about nine miles north of Merced.

the kidnapping surfaced after the police were alerted to a car on fire, the car belonged to amandeep Singh the police found no one at home and contacted a relative who couldn’t reach the family either.

Sheriff’s Office sought help from the public with identifying the family and the suspect.

the suspect Jesus manual Salgado was arrested on October 4th and is undergoing treatment in hospital after he tried to kill himself.

the sheriff’s office said Jesus’s relatives contacted authorities reporting that Salgado had admitted to them that he was involved in the kidnapping.

investigators have not found a link between Salgado and the family to show they knew each other before the kidnapping.
